WHERE WE MEET

Trecastle Community Hall, Trecastle, Powys LD3 8UW

Living in a largely rural area sets challenges when it comes to pursuing enthusiasms; travel is to be expected and so, in catering for the whole Principality we have tried to find a venue which is easily accessible from all points of the compass. Our regular meeting-place is conveniently on the A40 which at its rural busiest is never intrusive. Trecastle, near the Brecon Beacons, boasts two excellent Antiques Centres with ample parking next to, and opposite our Hall, which is set in its own grounds for al fresco lunches in good weather. Inside, the acoustic is clear and pleasing and the facilities excellent.

MEETINGS : 2019/20

The SRP playing year runs from 1 Sep to 31 Aug; during this 'term'   Wales branch offers 9 full-day, conducted meetings, including a Pastoral Visit with an SRP visiting conductor
and where possible, a Special Playing Day with a guest conductor. This year, we are also holding a Level 2 Conducting course.

Please bring your instruments, a music-stand and a packed lunch;   music is provided, as are refreshments. There is a fee for non   member visitors - £10, students - £2.00, no charge for children of   primary school age.

MEMBER CONDUCTING
We encourage members to consider a 'guest conducting' experience, to give our regular conductor Delyth, a wee break! Choose a favourite piece or two you'd like to share, bring copies, and give it a try! Please let Delyth know of your intentions in advance; click the 'Committee & Contacts' link for e-mail contact details.
